Judy Elliott is an enthusiastic hiker who loves getting out into the mountains, meeting people and, of course, good food and wine. Judy, who lives in Cape Town, is a BSc graduate from the University of Cape Town. After a career in teaching and later in the IT industry, she founded Winescape Tours to combine her passions and the result is the Wellington Wine Walk. Judy has worked in the wine industry and completed the Cape Wine Academy courses.

Katrin Steytler is an experienced horsewoman, hiker, translator (French, Afrikaans and English) and guide with more than 15 years’ experience, largely in the Berg River Valley area.

Jeanette Ingwersen is a language and drama teacher of Dutch descent, who has lived in Wellington for more than 21 years and is an avid hiker.

Ron Lloyd, is a retired scientist who has lived in Wellington for over 30 years. He is a keen hiker and guide who can speak German.

Grietjie Joubert, a university lecturer and excellent cook, is responsible for the local cuisine served at the Kontreikos picnics and has 20 years’ experience of hiking in the Berg River area.
